Two Individuals Accused with Inmate Homicide of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges in the wake of the death in prison of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 stand indicted for homicide and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per law enforcement officials.
Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes including the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were seized.
