Aircraft Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Groves at Frequented California Shoreline
An aircraft soaring above a crowded southern California beach unexpectedly commenced twirling uncontrollably, eventually dropping height and plunging into a cluster of palm groves as beachgoers looked on.
Footage uploaded on the internet show the aircraft beginning to twirl above the shoreline then descending in the direction of the perimeter of the shore, where it becomes wedged between palms and a steps near the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five persons were taken to hospital comprising two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” following the incident on Saturday.
Three persons on the road were hurt. Information on their condition were still under review.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.

The department indicated the helicopter was linked to an yearly “Cars with Copters” fundraising event scheduled for the next day.
